Luxury Adult-Only Shepherd Huts in North Yorkshire

With Private Hot Tub

About Us

A haven on the edge of the North York Moors

Located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, near Ingleby Greenhow, our luxury shepherd huts are set within a working Beef & Sheep Farm (New Sheepfold) with breathtaking views, perfect for a short or longer break.

We have four huts: Lapwing, Hare, Barn Owl and Wren, all ideal for a romantic getaway.

They each sleep 2 adults in a double bed, have a fitted kitchen with fridge & oven, bathroom with shower, log burning stove (excluding Wren), heating, WiFi, BBQ and a private hot tub.  Additionally Wren has a hob and fire pit, as well as wardrobes.

Bring your walking boots, wellies and bikes to explore the amazing surroundings.

The huts are Adult Only  (18+) & we are unable to accommodate any pets.

We have received the Visit England Gold Award for Glamping 2023/25 for all four huts.

In September 2024 we were incredibly delighted to receive the VisitEngland ROSE award. The ROSE (Recognition Of Service Excellence) Awards recognise accommodation businesses who truly go the extra mile for their guests…

It is a complete honour and privilege for us to receive this accolade.

We hope you enjoy your stay with us on the edge of our working beef & sheep farm.  There is so much to see in the area, and adventures to be had.  We look forward to welcoming you.

Location & Attractions

We are located in North Yorkshire, close to the villages of Great Ayton, Ingleby Greenhow, Chop Gate & Great Broughton as well as the market town of Stokesley.

Restaurants

There are a large number of restaurants, pubs and cafes in the surrounding villages and town.  You can choose from a traditional pub, farm shop & cafe, Italian bistro, Chinese, Thai, Indian and many more.

The closest pub / cafe  is 20-25 minute walk.  The Dudley Arms in Ingleby Greenhow.  If you would like to prebook a taxi home we recommend either Stokesley Taxis (01642 712999) or Balliol Taxis (07496 682480).

In Great Broughton there are 3 pubs/ restaurants to choose from, and there are lots of great places to eat and drink in Stokesley and Great Ayton.  The Buck Inn at Chopgate is also a great place to try.  You can find out a lot more in our guide book in each hut.

Sight Seeing

Based on the edge of the North York Moors, it is the perfect location for walking, cycling and exploring.

Ingleby Incline – just a short walk from the hut through Old SheepFold Farm is the incline. It is a steep climb but worth it for the views.

Roseberry Topping – a great place to climb to see as far as the Pennines on a clear day.

Captain Cooks Monument- erected in memory of the famous circumnavigator who lived in Great Ayton as a young boy.

Pretty market towns of Stokesley, Helmsley and Northallerton are all close by.

Further afield why not visit Whitby or Saltburn for the coast, or visit the steam trains of Goathland – the setting of Heartbeat.
