Sustainability Policy

Sustainability at Incline View Holidays

At Incline View Holidays, we believe that small choices can make a big difference.

Our shepherd huts and farm are set in the heart of the North York Moors National Park, and we are committed to protecting the beauty and biodiversity of our surroundings for generations to come.

Sustainability is part of our everyday life here. From the materials we choose, to the way we run our business, every decision is made with care for the environment, the community, and our guests.

Our Commitments

Protecting Our Environment

  • LED lighting and low-energy appliances are used in all huts.
  • Our water in the huts is sourced from our own spring and carefully filtered, removing the need for guests to buy bottled water.
  • Native planting around the huts encourages pollinators and supports local wildlife.

Reducing Waste

  • Glass, cardboard, paper, cans and plastics are all separated for recycling.
  • Bulk purchasing and refill schemes are used to cut down on packaging.
  • Guests are encouraged to use reusable cups, bottles and shopping bags.

Sourcing Locally and Supporting Small Businesses

  • Welcome hampers are stocked with produce from Yorkshire, where possible.
  • All meat is supplied direct from our own farm.
  • Local tradespeople and service providers are supported wherever possible.

Sustainable Guest Experience

  • Guests receive information on low-impact activities and walking routes in the area.

Continuous Improvement

We regularly review our practices, looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact. Sustainability is a journey, and we are committed to learning and improving year after year.
